The mission of Joining Hands Visitation (JHV) is to help reconnect foster care children with their biological families and to provide support for stabilizing relationships, thus laying the foundation for stronger family ties and better futures – one child at a time.
We focus on building a strong support network that will empower foster children and their biological families in becoming independent and self-sufficient and allow them an equal opportunity to improve the quality of their lives. All services are based upon the needs of the child/or adolescent.
JHV is also committed to providing exemplary service with a well-trained staff, dedicated to serving the local community and extending a helping hand to all with a non-judgmental, discreet manner. It is our goal to maintain a standard of excellence within every interaction and activity of the agency.
We will provide respectful, compassionate services to families that ensure child safety and preserves families while meeting the needs of Department of Social & Health Services/Children’s Administration (DCYF/CA) staff and creating a partnership between families, DCYF/CA, and the community.
