Please explore the courses outlined below that must be completed prior to beginning official employment at Joining Hands Visitation. NOTE: To register for some of these courses, you must create an account with The Alliance for Professional Development, Training, and Caregiver Excellence. Click here to create an account. When setting up your account it will ask “Which group will you take classes from?” choose Alliance and what “Alliance Group,” specify Caregivers. Once logged in, select TOPICS in the upper right corner, and you can locate the necessary courses.
Caregiver Core Training (CCT) (online)
The 24-hour Caregiver Core Training is made up of eight sessions (each about three hours long) and a mandatory coaching session after the Online portion is completed. CCT is mandatory before employment with JHV.

This training will explain the risk anticipated by contact with blood and other potentially infectious materials resulting from childcare. This course includes training specific to non-healthcare related homes and workplaces. Certification is mandatory before becoming a visit supervisor.

This course teaches solutions to a range of problems that can arise from minor everyday instances to major medical emergencies such as allergic reactions, heart attacks, and strokes. Certification is valid for two years and is mandatory before becoming a visit supervisor.
