Private Visitation

The mission of Joining Hands Visitation (JHV) is to provide quality visitation services to families in Washington State, to support their independence, and to build stronger family ties and better futures – one child at a time. We offer private visitation services to the public, including transportation, supervised/monitored visitation, and supervised exchange.

If you wish to partake of the agency’s services, please call the office at (360) 878-8389 between the hours of 10:00 am – 6:00 pm and for an intake interview with JHV Admin Staff. For the interview, please come prepared with the court order detailing visitation required or legal documentation stating the agreed upon visitation plan and any other pertinent information.

Associated Fees

Initial Intake Fee
There is a non-refundable administration fee of $75. This is DUE at the intake interview with JHV admin staff PRIOR to receiving the required paperwork to set up visitation.

Supervised/Monitored Visitation
The base rate for supervised/monitored visitation services is $50 per hour during the week on Monday through Friday. On weekdays, Saturday and Sunday, the rate is $75 per hour. Payment MUST be made in advance by 6:00 pm the day before the visit or the visit will be canceled.

Supervised Exchange
The base rate for supervised exchange services is $50 per hour and may increase or decrease based on the needs and complexity of the exchange.

Transportation Fee
The base rate for transportation is $50 per hour plus $0.67 per mile driven. This pertains to transport to and from a visit location outside of JHV Offices and/or the transport of the child to visit whether it be at JHV Offices or another pre-determined location.

Cancellations
In the event of a cancellation made with a minimum of 24-hour notice, the client may have the fee refunded via business check for cash payment, return credit to debit/credit card, or applied to the next billing invoice.

If the visiting Parent is not present by the end of the 15-minute grace period or cancels with less than 24-hour notice, JHV will collect the visitation fee for the scheduled time of visit.  For example, if the visit is scheduled for 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, and the visiting Parent cancels with less than 24-hour notice or does not arrive by 4:15 pm, JHV will bill for 2 hours.

If the visiting Parent is not present by the end of the 15-minute grace period or cancels with less than 24-hour notice, JHV will bill for any travel time and mileage accrued.

Also, If the child is left in the care of JHV Staff and care is provided by either the staff or visiting Parent a caregiver notification form will be provided to the Custodial Parent free of charge. In the event that an additional copy of the caregiver notification is needed, one can be provided at $15 per document.

Late Fee
A late fee of $35 will be assessed for any missed or late payments.

If there are extenuating circumstances impacting your ability to afford payment or if you need to split the payments, please reach out to the agency director directly to avoid a late fee – communication is key!

Court Appearance Fee
Any request or subpoena to appear in court will incur a base fee of $500 plus $25 for every hour JHV staff attends court. The base fee of $500 is DUE no later than 48 hours prior to the scheduled court date. The hourly fee for the JHV Staff presence in court is DUE no later than 24 hours after the actual court date or will incur a late fee of $35. If the court takes place outside of Thurston County, a fee for travel time and mileage will be assessed at $25 per hour plus $0.67 per mile.

Request for Documents

Exchange service will require a signature sheet logging time in and out for exchange services on the day provided. All contents are confidential and property of the Agency, the visiting Parent will receive one copy free of charge for attended visits, but not for cancellations.
