What are the requirements for the prevention of the spread of infections and communicable disease?

  1. You must notify your DLR licensor if you or any adults having access to children in your care, have been exposed to someone with tuberculosis, or if a health care provider recommends testing.
  2. Retesting for license renewals is not required unless the above conditions apply.
  3. Staff with a reportable communicable disease or notifiable disease condition in an infectious stage, as defined by the department of health in chapter 246-101 WAC, must not be on duty until they have a physician’s approval for returning to work. (WAC 388-147-1560)

Joining Hands Visitation is committed to maintaining a non-discrimination agency operation.  All hiring, personnel and service delivery procedures will reflect this policy.

The agency is also committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for all employees and clientele. Medical conditions of any nature, including but not limited to acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) and other blood-borne pathogens and any related conditions shall not disqualify individuals from agency employment unless the disability prevents proper job performance or the presence of a condition is a bona fide occupational disqualification.
