Email and internet accessibility is provided for employees to assist you in carrying out the responsibilities of your position, and is intended to be used for that purpose. E-mail should never be used to conduct private business and must never be used to conduct political campaigning activities.

All employees are issued an agency email address to be used for the sole purpose of agency business and are given a password that is not to be changed at any time without the express permission of the agency.

JHV retains the right to access said email address at any time for any purpose. If you are using a JHV computer, you must conduct yourself honestly and appropriately on the Internet and respect all copyrights, software-licensing rules, client confidentiality and privacy of others, just as you would in any other work related activities.

Employees are strictly prohibited from loading any type of software or making any hardware adjustments without the express and written permission of the agency director. Management may review or monitor employees’ use of e-mail and the internet.

Violation of the E-mail/Internet policies will result in appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
