All employees are paid an hourly salary. Training and orientation is paid at the current minimum wage for the state – $11.50 hourly as of January 1, 2018. Once the employee has undergone all training, job shadowing, and orientation wages are automatically increased to 13.00 an hour.
Staff is at that time placed on a 90-day probationary period which at the end of it will be given a written job performance review and it is at the discretion of the Executive Director if wages are increased at that time. Job performance review will cover punctuality, timely report execution, quality, and submission, attendance, customer relations, adherence to policy and procedure, and other criteria as designated by the agency or Executive Director. Goals and any required performance issues will be discussed and assigned a specified by date for review.
All wages are based upon the level of education and quality work experience of the employee. It is the job of the Executive Director to negotiate all rates of pay to new and existing employees. Increases and decreases are fair and based upon the rate that Joining Hands Visitation receives for contract services.
Pay periods consist of every two weeks. Time sheets are to be turned in by the end of the second week by Sunday at 5:00 pm or no later than Monday of the following week for payment by the upcoming Friday. Work week runs Sunday to Saturday.
Example: the payroll cycle would run January 28, 2018 to February 10, 2018 for a total of 14 days to be paid on the following Friday by 3:00pm on the 16th of February 2018. Paychecks are delivered to staff mailboxes and are available for pick up at that time. Electronic Deposit is currently being established and takes up to two pay periods to establish. Enrollment form is available from Agency Director or the employee portal.
