How do you and your child come to common ground so both feel respected and meal times are not battlegrounds? Need tips on healthy food choices and how to encourage them? Come join us to explore all these issues and clarify your family’s values about food.
December 11, 2018 – Fostering resilience and confidence in your kids
Life can take its toll and resilience is our ability to bounce back. Resilience helps us recover and thrive in the aftermath of trauma, disappointment and grief no matter how large or small. It is fostered in many small ways including by paying attention to our emotional and body responses, to develop a kind of nervous system literacy. Learn about resiliency and its interpersonal impact on your family and ways to increase your resilience.
January 8, 2019 – Volcano’s to Earthquakes: Weathering Anger In Your Family
Anger can be a confusing and difficult emotion for children and adults. Trying to keep our cool when our child is escalating is one of life’s most challenging tasks. Identify the ways your child’s anger challenges you so you can understand your responses and reestablish equilibrium in the face of tumultuous emotions.
